Sacred Places Near Me is a curated directory of the world's most significant sacred sites — places of active worship, living tradition, and ongoing pilgrimage. I created it because it was the one I was looking for and couldn't find.

Sacred places exist on every continent and within every major religious tradition. They are sites of pilgrimage, prayer, and contemplation. Millions of people across centuries have come to rest, reflect, and reconnect with something deeper than daily life.

The places in this directory are included for their active religious or spiritual practice, their significance to visitors from different backgrounds and beliefs, their accessibility to outside visitors, and their enduring importance within their tradition. Starting with 100 of the world's main sacred sites, I selected 72 by applying these criteria.
